Thanks to the Wireless Telegraphy Act 2006, Ofcom is required to maintain a register of wireless telegraphy licences issued in the UK. I found this data useful recently while on holiday after noticing park staff with handhelds, and finding myself curious as to what frequencies they were operating on.
This resulted in a lot of tinkering with openlayers when I got back, producing the map linked below:
