Last night I had the pleasure of presenting a talk at VARC on "3D Printing and Amateur Radio". I demonstrated some 3D printing basics, talked about materials and their selection, and generally waxed lyrical on why it makes a great companion hobby for radio enthusiasts.
Having previously presented the same at DDRC back in September, I spent a bit more time on the process of preparing and slicing models, which is an area where I tend to get a lot of questions.
Despite there being a rocky start with the practical demonstration, the VARC members proved very inquisitive and had great questions which provoked some in-depth discussion.
