MB7IYT is a new analogue simplex gateway covering the southern part of Leighton Buzzard, on 430.050 MHz, 67 Hz CTCSS. Internet linked via Allstar and usually connected to the FreeSTAR network. Users are free to move it around using DTMF commands.
There is good coverage for much of the central part of town thanks to MB7IJT on 144.9625 MHz - which I use regularly from my shack - however coverage is patchy at ground level in the immediate vicinity of my QTH. This should make it a bit easier to get on the air while pedestrian mobile at the local park.
